The FSU DC Study Away Program offers unparalleled opportunities for direct experience through internships with agencies, advocacy and association groups, corporations, and governmental sites, all set against the remarkable backdrop of the nation’s dynamic capital city.
This program allows full-time enrolled degree seeking FSU students completing internships to live in a supportive community with their peers, where they can focus on their internships while benefiting from shared support and connection. A House Manager will provide on-site support by monitoring the units, offering resources and guidance, as well as communicating student needs to the FSU University Housing Office.

There is no limit to the type of internship opportunities that you can have in Washington, D.C. Our Career Center team supports you in identifying and applying for your own, specific dream DC internship opportunities, and shares new internship and networking leads with our selected student cohort.

Program Details
Students should review all eligibility criteria before applying to participate. An application form must be submitted (and acknowledged) along with other applicant materials.
Completed applications will be reviewed, interviews conducted, and decisions communicated immediately before course registration for the following semester.

About the DC STudy Away center
FSU’s two residences are located on historic Ebenezer Row in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Ebenezer Row is part of the historic site of one of Capitol Hill’s most significant churches, a landmark that served as a stop on the Underground Railroad, and a center of civic life since the early 1800s. While the original church building remains a preserved part of the neighborhood, the surrounding block has been thoughtfully transformed into a row of modern residences.
These homes offer updated living in a quiet, residential setting while being just blocks away from the U.S. Capitol, metro stations, Eastern Market Park, grocery stores, shops, and several neighborhood parks.
One residence is townhouse style design with a spacious modern kitchen, dining, and a living room on the main floor. The lower floor has a gathering space with a television for residents to share. Upper floors provide sleeping rooms, laundry, and baths.
The second residence offers two condominium units, each spanning two levels.
Both condominiums include a kitchen and laundry as well as sleeping rooms and baths.
All units are fully furnished. Each student will have a bed, a small desk and chair, a nightstand and a chest of drawers. Most bedrooms are double occupancy with a bath attached to the room or in the hall.
