Registration & Confirmation

  1. Please submit your registration form on-line using The Career Center's website.

Seminole Futures and Engineering Day:

•  If you register less than three (3) weeks prior to the event, you will be charged a $50 dollar late registration fee.

Graduate and Professional School Expo, Education and Library Expo, Health Professions Expo and Communication Career Awareness Day:

•  If you register less than three weeks prior to the event, you will be charged a $25 dollar late registration fee.

  1. When completing your registration form, please be accurate in indicating the majors for which you are interested in recruiting. The Career Center publicizes this information to the FSU community and we depend on the accuracy of your registration form.
  2. When your registration form is processed, you will receive an email confirmation. This email will include parking, display and shipping information as well as an attached invoice. Please see the "Shipping & Display" section below for additional information. If any of these items are not included your confirmation email, please contact our office (850-644-3459) and we will be happy to send you whatever is needed.
  3. In order to maintain building capacity standards, a 6-recruiter per table limit has been established. If your organization intends to bring more than 6 recruiters, an additional table must be purchased. For example, if you intend to bring 12 recruiters, you would reserve 2 tables and so on. If you intend to increase the number of recruiters present, you must notify the Career Center , in advance , at 850-644-3459.

Payments

•  If you register for a career exposition, your organization is expected to pay in full on or prior to the day of the event. If you do not, your organization will be ineligible to register for another career exposition until the remaining balance is paid.

•  The Career Center only accepts payment by Check, MasterCard or Visa.

Credit Card Payments

•  If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be considered paid in full at the time the card is processed. Credit cards will be processed online as a part of the organization's registration.

•  If the credit card is unable to be processed during registration the organization will be required to pay by check.

Cancellations / No-Shows

  1. The Career Center will be happy to refund your registration fee, if and only if, you cancel three (3) weeks or more prior to the Exposition . After the three (3) week deadline date, credit for future expos may be considered on a case by case basis by Career Center staff.
  2. For credit card payments, a $15 chargeback fee will be deducted from the organization's cancellation refund.
  3. If you have not paid in full and cancel less than three (3) weeks prior to the event, you will be held responsible for payment.

No Shows

  1. If you register for an exposition, pre-pay, and fail to attend the event, your organization's registration fees will not be refunded.
  2. If you register for an exposition, do not pre-pay, and fail to attend the event, your organization will be held responsible for the registration fees.

•  Please make sure that all expo displays and materials are shipped to the appropriate location.

•  Seminole Futures displays and materials should be sent to:

•  All displays and materials should be clearly marked with the organization name and event. Please refer to your email confirmation for the appropriate dates for shipping. The Career Center is not responsible for items shipped prior to the designated shipping dates.

•  The Career Center will not guarantee the arrival of packages nor will we expend the additional staff labor and time needed to move your packages to the appropriate shipping locations.

•  For Seminole Futures, booth space is 8x10. If your display is larger than this, then you must purchase an additional booth space.

•  At the end of the exposition, you are responsible for disposing of any materials that will not be shipped elsewhere. The Career Center will provide packing supplies and arrange for UPS/Fed-Ex/DHL pick-ups at the end of the event. If you desire to use any other carrier, you should make those arrangements.

•  Please complete the entire packing slip/form and bring your packages to the designated shipping area. The Career Center is not responsible for completing forms or moving packages to the appropriate area.

Literature/Free Samples

  1. Please provide copies/packages of your organization's literature for our Career Center Library.
  2. Free samples may be distributed at career expositions, exceptions to distribution are:
    1. The Career Center recognizes that most organizations distribute promotional items displaying their organizations logo to potential candidates. The following items should not be distributed to candidates: food items that are not pre-packaged, items promoting or containing alcohol or tobacco, or items containing sexual connotations.
    2. The Career Center is not responsible for distributing an organization's literature or items at any event.

Recruiter Expectations & Exposition Protocol

  1. Please know, the Career Center publicizes our expositions and other events University-wide. It is our goal to offer opportunities to job seekers of all majors.
  2. The Career Center expects exposition participants to maintain the highest sense of decorum when recruiting our students. For example, removing other firms' literature/freebies from tables will not be tolerated. Kindly respect job seekers and other recruiters at the event regardless of the competitive nature of the organizations involved.

After The Exposition

•  Kindly remain at your booth/table(s) until the end of the event

•  Please remember to return your evaluation form in the appropriately marked basket or FAX it to (850) 644-5055 .
