Volume 4, Issue 5
Welcome to The Seminole Link newsletter! It is our hope that this newsletter will keep you informed about FSU and The Career Center's programs and events.
Do you know students interested in going abroad? The Career Center's Going Global service can help them identify and take advantage of opportunities around the world!
Going Global's 80,000 page database contains Country Career Guides, USA and Canadian City Career Guides, corporate profiles, worldwide job and internship openings and a proprietary collection of H1B visa employer listings. Opportunities are posted for major multinational companies and are updated daily.
Their Key Employer Directory contains more than 450,000 corporate profiles representing both "local" and "multinational" employers and can be searched by location, industry and/or company name.
Students can access Going Global by logging into their Blackboard account, clicking on the "Secure Apps" tab, and then clicking the "Career Center: Going Global" link on the left-hand side, or by simply logging into their SeminoleLink accounts and clicking on the Going Global logo on the left side of the home page.
Employability 101 is a weeklong workshop series where students are encouraged to come and learn the fundamentals of job searching. We will touch on everything from resumes and cover letter to transitioning into your first job after college, and everything in between! Students will also have the opportunity to win prizes, simply by attending workshops.
All workshops will be held in room 2201/02 of the Dunlap Success Center, from 2-3pm each day.
