Describe your job search process. What were some challenges you faced or things you learned?
I learned that every student should put themselves out there. You'll be surprised at the opportunities that will become available if you believe in yourself. Also, networking is so important, and our alumni base is amazing, so definitely reach out to our alumni if you want to know more about a company.
If you used any Career Center services, resources, or events to obtain your job offer, what were they? How did they support your application process?
I found my internship at Amazon Web Services through Handshake, which led to a full time offer. It supported my application process because I was able to read the job description and tell if it was a good fit prior to applying on the Amazon Web Services website.
Have you participated in any experiential learning opportunities?
I've done lots of internships. I got my first internship working at a local credit union in high school as a head teller. I also did two marketing internships prior to receiving an internship at Amazon Web Services.
What advice do you have for current students that will be launching a full-time professional job search?
Apply for anything that interests you and don't limit yourself to one role or industry. There are so many opportunities out there!
