No, the DC Study Away Center is a shared living space - rooms are double occupancy.
Can I check-in to the FSU DC Study Away Center before the official check-in date?
No, early check-in at the DC Study Away Center is not an option. Your check-in and check-out dates at the DC Study Away Center will take into consideration FSU's academic schedule.
Are there units with access from the street and no stairs?
Yes, one unit in the DC Study Away Center provides entry access at ground level with no stairs. All other units require the use of stairs either to enter the residence or to reach the sleeping areas.
Are there washers and dryers in the units?
Yes, access and use of the washers and dryers onsite at the DC Study Away Center is included in your DC Study Away Program Fee. Members of the student cohort share the washers and dryers.
If I require accommodation to ensure my success, what resources are available to support my needs?

Application FAQs
How will FSU partner with me to identify an internship site in Washington DC?
The FSU Career Center will identify and recommend internship sites for your strong consideration based on your stated internship goals and interests. Student cohort members access ongoing, personal consultations to tailor their application materials, prepare for the interview/internship selection process, and evaluate offers. With support and guidance from Career Center Staff, student cohort members will connect with FSU Alumni across the DMV area for professional development and networking to secure an internship in the competitive DMV market.
We begin the internship consultation process with you as soon as you are accepted into the FSU DC Study Away Program. Although our application deadline is in advance of many sites’ deadlines, the earlier you begin applying to internship opportunities, the more opportunities will be available to you.
