2011 Portfolio Contest Winners

The Career Center held the seventh Career Portfolio Contest this past fall. This year's judges (employers and FSU faculty/staff) reviewed top entries to identify the highest quality portfolios. Congratulations to our winners!!

2011 First Place Graduate Portfolio - Hillary Conley

Hillary Conley is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the Department of Classics where she teaches Classical Mythology and Latin. She is currently writing her dissertation, and she anticipates completing her degree by May of 2013. Education has always been Hillary’s passion, and upon graduation, she hopes to secure an assistant professor position at a university where she can continue to inspire students and advance the understanding of the ancient world.

2011 First Place Undergraduate Portfolio - Chandra Robrock

Chandra Robrock is a senior at Florida State University. In the Spring of 2012, she will be receiving a Bachelor of Science in Retail Merchandising & Product Development. After college, Chandra plans to move to New York City and work in the fashion industry as a public relations specialist or social media director.

2011 Second Place - Curtis Chambers

Curtis Chambers is a senior studying Hospitality Management in the Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University. He is currently serving as Southern Regional Chair on National Board for the National Society of Minorities and is a student manager for ARAMARK Higher Education (Seminole Dining). After graduation, Curtis has plans on becoming an Assistant Food Service Director for K-12 schools. "Food service management has always been a passion of mine, when I was 10 years old I told my father I wanted to be the manger of Burger King. I have surpassed my goal thanks to Florida State University, Go NOLES!"

2011 Third Place - Keziyah Lewis

Keziyah Lewis is a Senior pursuing a B.A. in French and Spanish and a B.S. in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. She is currently the FSU Community Ambassador to 211 Big Bend, and holds an internship at Environment Florida. Through leadership and service activities on and off campus, Keziyah has developed a passion for social and environmental issues. After receiving a master’s degree, Keziyah plans to continue her dedication to social and environmental issues by working for a non-profit agency.
