Helps Career & Internship Fair
March 22, 2023
11 AM - 3 PM
Student Union Ballrooms
DAY OF EVENT TIMETABLE
10:00 am: Employer check-in opens!
Recruiters will check in with the Career Center staff on the 2nd Floor of the Student Union – outside the ballrooms. We will direct you to your table and provide you with information on the day.
By 11:00 am: Employer lounge opens and lunch is available!
We will have box lunches, coffee, and sodas available in the employer lounge. If you noted a special dietary restriction in your registration, these lunches will be pulled aside and designated with a sign. Tables and chairs are also available if you need to step aside for a moment.
11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Event opens to students!
There is not a place within the Union to make photocopies if you run out of materials. We suggest making a QR code that students can scan that links to any materials you may give out.
3:00 pm: Wrap & clean up!
Thank you for a great day! Be sure to post your position on NoleNetwork!
SETUP INFORMATION
You will be provided a 6’ table, two chairs, and a black tablecloth at the event. There is approximately 8” of spacing between tables. You are welcome to bring your own tablecloth, banners, signage as long as they fit into your booth.
In order to protect our new Student Union, we ask that you help us follow a couple of rules:
- No glitter
- No helium balloons (even if they are weighed/tied down)
- Help protect the floors. If you are using metal stands, please help us protect the floors. Something like felt works perfectly for this!
PARKING INFORMATION
Each organization can use one space within the Woodward Garage on the 2nd floor (there will be an attendant). You will go to 104 N Woodward Ave Tallahassee, FL 32306 and follow the signs to the garage/parking. Reserved spots are on the 2nd floor of the garage. Parking is nose-in parking only – you cannot back in. Please print the attached parking pass - you MUST have this parking pass.
Parking spaces are first-come first-serve. If you arrive after the event starts, you will be responsible for finding your own parking. If you are bringing more than one car, please park additional car(s) in visitor parking at Doak Campbell Stadium. You may also consider Uber or Lyft for other attendees.
OVERSIZED VEHICLE PARKING: The Woodward Garage has a height limit of 8’2”. If your vehicle will not fit in this garage, please email Tori Andrews at vandrews@fsu.edu by Wednesday March 15th for further instructions.
Here are some alternatives to parking in the reserved area
1. Guest parking at Doak Campbell Stadium at the Visitor’s Center (http://www.visit.fsu.edu/directions). It is approximately $7.50/day and a 10-15 walk from the event space.
2. ParkMobile Meter/App pay by the hour spots around campus. Rate of $1.00 per hour from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and $.50 per hour from 4:30 PM to 10 PM. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to download the app at: https://parkmobile.io/.
3. Virtual Visitor Permit through the Parking & Transportation Office for any white spaces that do NOT have sign within Traditions Garage. These are $5.00 a day.
o Visit Parking and Transportation Parking Permits and click Visitor Login https://transportation.fsu.edu/parking-permits
o You will create a Guest Account. Complete steps to register, get permit, and enter your vehicle information.
*Note, the last two options get very busy with student parking, so spaces may be harder to find*
A map of campus can be found here: https://transportation.fsu.edu/maps
**The Career Center is not responsible for any parking tickets if you park in an unauthorized parking area.
